  • Pages you are logged into through your own valid credentials

2.2 Prohibited Uses

You agree NOT to use Site X-Ray to:

  • Analyze websites without authorization from the website owner (where required)
  • Circumvent, bypass, or attempt to defeat any access controls, authentication systems, or security measures
  • Collect, store, or redistribute copyrighted content for purposes other than personal technical analysis
  • Engage in competitive intelligence gathering that violates applicable laws or the target website's terms of service
  • Republish, sell, or publicly distribute analysis data containing third-party copyrighted content
  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose

2.3 Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, including your bookmarklet token. Do not share your personalized bookmarklet with others, as it is linked to your account.

3. Intellectual Property

3.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of any content you create using Site X-Ray, including your analysis notes and custom configurations.

3.2 Analyzed Content

Site X-Ray captures technical metadata and structural information from websites you analyze. We do not claim ownership of the underlying content of websites you analyze. You acknowledge that:

  • Website content may be protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights
  • Your use of Site X-Ray constitutes technical analysis for personal or professional purposes, which we believe falls under fair use principles
  • You are responsible for ensuring your use of analysis results complies with applicable copyright laws

3.3 AI-Generated Content

Development briefs generated by our AI feature are derived from your captured analysis data. These briefs are provided for informational and planning purposes only. You may use AI-generated briefs for your own projects, but you acknowledge that:

  • AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies
  • Briefs should not be considered legal, professional, or technical advice
  • You are responsible for verifying and validating any recommendations before implementation

4. Fair Use and Technical Analysis

Site X-Ray is designed as a technical analysis tool, similar in function to browser developer tools, web inspectors, and performance auditing tools. We believe that:

  • Extracting factual, technical information (technology detection, DOM structure, performance metrics) does not constitute copyright infringement
  • Personal and professional technical analysis serves a transformative purpose
  • Our service does not substitute for or compete with the original websites being analyzed

However, we make no legal guarantees regarding the copyright status of any specific analysis, and users should seek legal advice if they have concerns about specific use cases.

5. Data Storage and Retention

Analysis data you capture is stored in your account for your convenience. You may delete your analyses at any time. We reserve the right to remove data that violates these Terms or applicable law.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

Site X-Ray is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:

  • The service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • Analysis results will be accurate or complete
  • AI-generated briefs will be suitable for any particular purpose
  • The service will detect all technologies, security issues, or accessibility problems

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Marshal Code shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Site X-Ray, including but not limited to:

  • Claims arising from websites you analyze
  • Decisions made based on analysis results or AI-generated briefs
  • Loss of data or business interruption

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Marshal Code from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of Site X-Ray, including your analysis of third-party websites and any violation of these Terms.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by posting a notice on our website. Your continued use of Site X-Ray after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
